Dr. McCarthy performed his undergraduate and premedicine school at University of Nevada, Reno. After he completed this, he continued his education with an internship and residency at Providence Portland Hospital, in Portland, Oregon. He finalized his medicine journey with an Endocrinology Fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University and Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital.

Dr. McCarthy is double board certified in both Endocrinology and Internal Medicine, and has a passion for the Endocrine system and their disorders. Dr. McCarthy has also found a niche in diagnostics in the endocrinology field, and performs Fine Need Aspirations or Thyroid Biopsies for our clinic, to aid in our advanced patient care at Endocrinology Services Northwest.

Outside of the office, you will find Dr. McCarthy in his garden, hunting with his dog Finn, or photographing the beautiful sites of the world
