Katie grew up in Ridgefield, Washington, and attended the University of Washington where she received her Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology. She went on to graduate with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Northern Arizona University where she received the High Scholar Award speaking to her dedication for providing excellent quality patient care. Katie has since worked in Internal Medicine where she treated a wide range of diseases and developed a passion for diabetes care. She believes in the importance of patient education in order to make shared decisions with each and every patient. In her spare time, Katie enjoys trail running, mountain biking and playing with her two cats.
